# WANTED: Junior Astronomy Student Ambassador to # Leyden

Movie information is currently working on the design of Visitors on behalf of the Leiden University of Leiden. In this context we would like to place this appeal:

WANTED
AMBASSADOR JUNIOR STUDENT ASTRONOMY

As a Student Ambassador:

- You're a team with the senior student ambassador (graduate student) and PR Assistant
- Help you to organize the Open Day, the Orientation and Student Festival,
- Control your taster day and lunch with your hangers,
- You go into the country to pre-university schools to talk about or studying astronomy in general - your e-mail with students to help them with their study,

- Work together with staff of astronomy, and the student ambassadors from all courses!

It takes about 4 hours per week, averaged over the year. You receive a training in presentation and communication skills, and you get good support from ICS (the recruiting office of the university), the department's recruitment team, the training course of astronomy and the Senior Student Ambassador. You will be paid through JobMotion, the secondment of the university.

Condition:
- Have achieved first-year

New delivery specifications commercials # STAR

New television commercials delivery specifications

Dear Customer,

As of September 1, 2011 shall apply to the delivery of new television commercials delivery specifications. Besides entering a new loudness standard is now possible to deliver HD.

New loudness standard
An end to the differences in loudness between programs, promos and commercials has developed a new standard called EBU R128. SPOT branch from this standard is decided from September 1, 2011 to apply to broadcast television commercials.

Delivered commercials are from Sept. 1 to meet the new standard loudness. Commercials that do not meet the standard, normalized by Star. Existing commercials will also be adjusted to give star no loudness differences arise in a commercial break. From 1 January 2012 it is mandatory commercials to deliver under the new loudness standard.

Commercials in HD
It is from September 1, 2011 also possible to deliver television commercials in HD. The high quality of high definition commercials can contribute positively to the experience of a commercial by the viewer.

Give your reaction to the consultation 'Directive Proposal orphan works'

Orphan works are books, newspapers, films, etc that are protected by copyright but whose owner is unknown or can not be found. Since the publication of a work protected by copyright permission of the owner is required, the work can not lawfully be made available to the public via the Internet.

Main objective of the proposal is to create a legal framework for the legitimate and cross-border online ensure access to orphan works in terms of public interest. This could include online digital libraries and archives of the various cultural institutions specified in the proposal.

Purpose of the consultation

The Cabinet approved the proposal to create a solution to the problem of orphan works well received. We would like your opinion, the Commission decided effect in your opinion is workable. Please do so as precisely as possible and examples to substantiate your position. The responses will be used for determining the position of the Netherlands in the negotiations on the proposed directive.

The Dutch digital art sector has a turnover of 400 million euros and employs over 10,000 people. This is reflected in the "Sector Analysis E-culture" of VP today, Monday, July 18, 2011 suits. The study was conducted by Bureau Veldkamp / TNS NIPO.

2 New tools to measure whether you are influential

Yesterday, Edelman PR , one of the world's largest independent PR agencies, launched two interesting online tools that can help to identify influential blogs ( bloglevel.com ) and twitterers ( tweetlevel.com ). Both tools work from the idea that without context influence not saying much. They send, therefore, to first be searched by subject, before the topical blogs and give influentials. This distinguishes them from other meters that affect people up front, and then only subject to watch. On TheNextWeb find a comprehensive analysis of both tools.

THINK DESIGN PLAY is a serious playground dedicated to innovation, which everyone wiser, richer and more inspired by international contacts home again.

Ideas, designs, play
Keynotes for example Mary Flanagan (Tilt Factor lab games innovation), Reiner Knizia (the world's most successful board game designer), Bernie De Koven (New Games Foundation) provide a cross section of the state-of-the-art in terms of games and play. It is not just for research but also to development: sharing knowledge internationally developed and applied. But a playground is not a playground if you have only to get started. Workshops, games, a party, drinks, dinners, experiments and parallel sessions, you can use your knowledge, experience and questions about the field insertion. EUscreen Second International Conference on Use and creativity ...

EUscreen HAS a two-day conference Organized on Use and Creativity in the audiovisual domain, to be held in Stockholm on September 15 and 16 in 2011.
The AIMS Conference to address the Further potential of European television heritage online for a wide range of users. It Will Also explore creative approaches to Enhance accessibility of European television heritage online. The goal is to expand methods to reach a wide range of users and to Increase Their engagement with online material heritage. The Conference program consistent distribution of a Plenary Session with keynote addresses and case studies by renowned experts in the field.
The Conference Will Host Also, on the second day, two workshops. The first workshop was about EUscreen's user community and how services can be exploited EUscreen with the objectives of learning, research, leisure / cultural heritage and creative reuse in mind.
