Cinemafia is shown on Jean Rouch Symposium in Paris

The Comité du Film Ethnographic Graphique "is preparing a Symposium on Jean Rouch (French Anthropologist and filmmaker) in November from 14 to 20 in Paris. Rouch is Considered to be one of the founders of the cinema vérité in France, sharing the aesthetics of the direct cinema in the U.S. pionered by Richard Leacock, DA Pennebaker and Albert Maysles and David. Rouch's practice as a filmmaker for over sixty years in Africa, was characterized by the idea of shared anthropology. CINEMAFIA is a cinema verite portrait of Joris Ivens and Henri Storck filmed by Rouch, Roger and Robert Busschots and Dirk Nijland. The short documentary "CINEMAFIA 'has screened the 15th.
