Gunpowder disaster
On January 12, 2007 it is precisely 200 years ago that a cargo ship, loaded with 37 tons of gunpowder, exploded on the Steenschuur in Leiden. The size of the disaster is comparable with the Firework disaster of Enschede in the year 2000. Only in Leiden, there were much more victims.
The exhibition in the City Museum De Lakenhal, from January 12th till April 15th, is a reminder of the gunpowder disaster in 1807.
Infofilm produced a unique reconstruction of the disaster.

In Museum Boerhaave in Leiden there is an animation to be seen in de Microscopy-room (room 24) about various microscopic techniques. The presentation is shown on two lcd-screens.

New in the Afrika Museum
On behalf of the Africa Museum in Berg en Dal, Infofilm made a surprising video-wall presentation. The video-wall is made up with 9 synchronized widescreen monitors and is 3 meters wide en 2.5 meters in hight.
The Africa Museum is a pearl in the sphere of the traditional and contemporary African art and has a unique outdoor museum.

Three categories medical technique are getting special attention in this exhibition.
First of all the medical technique, which started in 1895 because of X-rays. Then the medical science of replacing organs, such as the artificial hart or the hip prosthesis. Finally the laboratory technique also underwent an enormous development: from a simple urine test till the most complicated tests, where the DNA can be determined or a complete pharmacy of chemical substances can be found in a body. Infofilm made various audio visuals for this exhibition.

National Museum of the History of Science and Medicine
is the national treasury of scientific endeavours, the museum shows some 400 years of advances in knowledge. Developments in the various sciences can be viewed in 24 rooms on two levels. The emphasis is on contributions from the Netherlands.

On behalf of Friesland Foods, Infofilm made a short video presentation for a conference in Dubai about Culture and Identity.

On behalf of the Leids University Medical Center, Infofilm made a short HD-presentation about the integration of the new buildings 2 and 3 and a short history. The production has used 3d-animations and motion graphics.
